This is my personal top 5 Urdu novels list, it does not mean that, these must be your favorite books too. I made list of these books because I think these are worth sharing. But there are many books that are best and not in this list, it does not mean those books are not worth reading. there are lot of books like : RAJA GIDH,JANNAT KEY PATTE , AMAR BAIL, MUQADAS, PARIZAD, NAMAL etc…….
5:BACHPAN KA DECEMBER

It is a wounder full book by Hashim Nadeem. It is the story of a boy from a lower class family named IBAD, he falls in love with a girl double of his age named VAJEEHA. The boy gets a scholarship and goes to a cadet collage and later he passes CSS(Central Superior Services) exam just to impress the girl. It is a heart touching love story, which has a sad ending.
The reader who is aware of the author’s real story can relate this to it. Hashim Nadeem also went to a cadet collage and later also passed CSS.
4:HALIM

This book was published in forms of episodes. And it has more than 20 episodes. This is a story of a girl named TALIA who time traveled from 557 years ago’s Malaka to the 2017’s Malaysia and falls in love with a well known personality of the 2017’s Malaysia and opposition leader VAN FATEH RAMZAL. The reader will be amazed by reading the events of time travelling and the unsaid and untold love between the main characters. the research of Nimrah on politics, elections, parliament system and political games can help the reader to understand the political system very well.
I will highly recommend it to those who love mysterious novels and surprised stories. I f you are searching a love story with a lot of knowledge and character building facts, this can end your search.
3:PEER-E-KAMIL

It is one of the most famous books in Pakistan. It is the story of a boy with IQ of 150 named SALAR. He has no aim in life and because of his extraordinary IQ he fails to get the peace, he tries to commit suicide. But then he fall in love with a non muslim girl who converts to the ISLAM named IMAMA. And later he loss the girl and then becomes a religious one.
This is an awesome story every Urdu novel lover should read it at least once. There is a friend of mine who read it in a single day, he said” Once you start it, you will never feel to put it down”.
2:MUSHAF

This book is just a masterpiece by Nimra Ahmed. The title of this book unfolds the ground of being of this novel; Mushaf is an Arabic word, Arabs call Holy Quran “ Mushaf”.
This is the story of an orphan girl named MEHMAL IBRAHIM, this book expresses the sufferings of MEHMAL. She faces lot of troubles and later she meets a girl who gives her QURAN, and says to her that “ This is your story”. After reading QURAN, Mehmal learns to bear and say nothing. She bears everything and forgive everyone. This book can build your relationship with Holy Quran.
I just want to say that , it is a must read piece.

I consider this book the magnum opus by Hshim Nadeem. This is the story of a relentless boy from a wealthy family and his spiritual journey where he becomes ABDULLAH from SAHIR.
This is the story where SAHIR falls in love with a girl named ZUHRA, and later he feels that his seek to happiness and peace is not in being in love with ZUHRA. So he stars his journey with his spritual teacher SULTAN BABA and seeks the true happiness and falls in love with ALLAH; in urdu we call it” Ishq Haqeeqi”.
I wrote it at the top of this list because this book brought lot of changes in me and strengthen my connection with ALLAH. We consider the book our favorite when it brings changing in us and make us feel different once we finish it.
